QUIT MANAGER

TelASK Quit Manager is an evidence based software that guides
tobacco use educators and clinicians through interventions with smokers

About Quit Manager

Tobacco use is the leading cause of preventable death in North America. Although 70% of smokers want to quit, most of them need extra support along this way.

TelASK Quit Manager is a software optimized for desktop and mobile devices that guides smokers towards the life without tobacco. Through systematic identification of smokers in healthcare settings, brief counseling, customized automated follow-ups and additional support triaging, TelASK Quit Manager yields excellent outcomes.

How It Works

1

Establish Smoker Profile

Based on the information gathered TelASK Quit Manager assigns the smoker one of four profiles: Ready to Quit, Not Ready to Quit, Recently Quit with Low Efficacy, Recently Quit with High Efficacy
2

Post Discharge Follow-Up

After discharge Quit Manager engages with patients automatically in their preferred mode (voice, email or text) for up to six months
3

Timely Triage

Smokers who need assistance can be “warm transferred” to resources at the hospital or clinic or to a quit coach at the State Quitline.
BETTER CHANCES OF QUITTING

Receiving long-term support along the way has been shown to dramatically increase the likelihood of successful quitting

FULL CONTROL

Quit Manager facilitates the creation of reports, demonstrates “meaningful use” of EMRs and facilitates the calculation of a ROI for the cessation program

EASIER MANAGEMENT

With Quit Manager frontline staff can monitor the results of their efforts in real time

DEMONSTRATED OUTCOMES

We have used the TelASK Quit Manager database and IVR follow-up to support several studies about hospital based tobacco cessation since 2008. TelASK has helped us demonstrate clearly that smokers who receive a tobacco intervention in hospital and who receive systematic follow-up after discharge are significantly more likely to quit. The TelASK team is very creative and its client support is excellent.
